Donella made her first stride into the spotlight in the Richard Stoute Teen Talent Competition where she was a finalist in 1992 and 1993.She then joined the night club and hotel band Full Force where she was lead vocalist for 4 years during that time she entered the local Barbados Queen of song contest where she placed third.

After a four year trek with Full Force Donella then teamed up with another hotel band Midnight Fire where she was able then to show her versatility to do all types of music for locals and tourist alike. She has also been a backing vocalist in on of the island top calypso tents Bacchanal Time Calypso Tent where she was a member from the inception with top calypso artist like the internationally known Edwin Yearwood of
Krosfyah Alison Hinds formally of Square One and the owners of the tent the Madd Comedians.

In 2001 Donella teamed up with the internationally know band Krosfyah where she had a one year stint before joining up with Rusty & Double Xplojun bringing all her energy, experience and a wealth of talent with her to the Xplojun Family.

Donella has also proven herself to be quite a hit maker having also landed a hit on the HOTT 95.3 FM chart with the Eric Lewis composition ‘Don’t Want No Man Behind Me’ and the biggest song to date in J’ouvert Party which was composed, Arranged and produced by Rusty which landed her a spot in the Party monarch finals (Barbados) she is a dynamic diva with an in-your- face stage presence and visual appeal to die for.

With the experience acquired and the love of the art form Donella is determined to continue to be a force to be reckoned with and to be the ultimate entertainer in the world of soca music and beyond.
